Welcome to the Consulting Strategies Team blog.

Our team is experienced in health care, including Medicaid and commercial insurance, energy, public policy and politics.

We are excited about the opportunities to communicate with so many of our friends and colleagues through the new social media venues, including this new blog.

We will be updating you on a variety of timely topics and give you a new perspective on these issues.

Shannon Turner, Kentucky’s former Medicaid Commissioner, is following the health care reform debate closely and will be posting unique insights on that issue, as well the federal stimulus program and the ever changing Medicaid program.

Nici Gaines, a pharmacy and health benefits expert, will be following changes in the health care industry and sharing updates on this complicated issue.

Marie Cull, is one of Kentucky’s premier health care attorneys, and follows long term care issues, pharmacy issues and Medicaid closely and will provide interesting articles from time to time with our blog friends.

Desireé Owen has experience in the public policy arena as an advocate, political consultant, fund-raiser and in association management and communications. She is currently following developments in energy policy at the state and national level.

Melodie Shrader has an extensive background in non-profit management, government services and politics. She has served as the CEO of five organizations had lobbied hundreds of legislative issues for a variety of clients. She will be following the political environment for health care related issues, along with current business practice issues.

Our team at CST provides clients a full spectrum of legislative and government relations services, as well as health care consulting. We are excited to begin this digital discussion with our friends and clients.
